(generic name: Fexofenadine)
Allegra is the brand name of a drug Fexofenadine.
Fexofenadine is an antihistamine. Antihistamines work against the naturally occurring chemical histamine in your body.
Fexofenadine (Allegra) is used to prevent sneezing, runny nose, itching and watering of the eyes, and other allergic symptoms.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication.
What happens if I overdose?
Symptoms of a fexofenadine overdose are not well known.
What are the possible side effects?
Stop taking fexofenadine and seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives). Allergic reactions occur only rarely, and other serious side effects are not likely to occur. Some less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take fexofenadine and talk to your doctor if you experience nausea or an upset stomach.
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
Where to buy Allegra (Fexofenadine)?
Allegra is available over-the-counter in any online pharmacy (Walgreens, for instance). Given that you don't need a prescription, maybe a cheaper place for online buying is Amazon. There are also many generic versions (with Fexofenadine as an active ingredient) available on the market. They are cheaper than the brand Allegra.
