My doctor has prescribed me Zyban 150mg, that I have already purchased thru internet. Does anybody has experience with this drug?

The medication your doctor has prescribed to you is bupropion in fact, previously known as amfebutamone. This drug is sold under several different names, such as Zyban, Wellbutrin, Budeprion, Voxra and several other trade names. In fact your doctor has prescribed you an atypical antidepressant that acts as a nicotinic antagonist... It sounds like I am an expert, but believe me, I just rewrote what I have found on internet...

I have not experience with Zyban at all. I've quit smoking by power of my will, and believe me there is not medication that could help you if you don't have a mood to stop smoking cigarettes. But if you really want, you do not need a drugs, right?

So, my advice would be that you firstly clear with yourself do you really (really and trully) want to quit smoking. If it is your explicit decision, I am sure are have done 99% of the job. the remaining one percentage means that you only need to throw cigarettes.

As ex-smoker mention above, there are many different brands for the same drug. It means many different prices as well. As we know brand products are the most expensive. So Beginner, if you are asking for advice, I can advice you that when you purchase Zyban 150mg next time, you should order generic version. I am sure it is twice cheaper than brand name version.

Here are two generic medicine suppliers that seem OK. I found them on the internet:

- 4rx sells generics by Sun Pharma. It is the cheapest zyban I could find.
- Generic4all offers this drug that has been made by well known manufacturer of high quality drugs Cipla.

Hi, ama beginner also & have been prescribed Zyban by a VA program. Was instructed to continue smoking for 1 - 2 wks. after starting the drug, which I only recently have done, even tho I have severely "cut down" my use before Zyban. Will post my results as go along. Good luck!
